So one minute you can be drilling using the 6270DWPE3, then the next you can be fastening using the 6980DZ. The 6980DZ Impact driver looks a lot like the 6270DWPE3 small drill/driver and can be used for fastening into a variety of materials with everything from drywall screws to lag bolts.

It is quite common for impact drivers to be as much as one-third smaller than an equivalent voltage drill/driver, this also makes them much lighter. Despite this comparatively small size, cordless impact drivers can actually produce as much as three times more torque.
